Start a Recognized Student Organization/Chartering Process

As of Fall 2025, Tulane University is temporarily pausing new applications for Recognized Student Organizations (RSOs) while we conduct a comprehensive review of all currently active organizations, including those affiliated with national or international partners. This review ensures that all RSOs remain aligned with Tulane's Non-Discrimination Policy, Title VI and Title IX protections, and our shared commitment to equitable student participation.

If you have already submitted an application:

Applications currently in the queue will be placed on hold during this review.  Once the review period concludes, our staff will follow up with next steps and guidance on how your application will proceed.

If you are interested in applying:

At this time we are not accepting new student organization applications. Once the review is complete and the process reopens, updated application information and timelines will be shared on this site.

In the meantime, students are encouraged to get involved by exploring the wide range of existing RSOs in Tulane's student organization directory on WaveSync (or on studentorgs.tulane.edu). Our team in the Student Organization Center is also available to help connect you with organizations that match your interests or provide other ways to get engaged in campus life.

We appreciate your patience and partnership as we take this important step to ensure Tulane's student organizations remain open, welcoming, and accessible to every student.
