Tulane Tuesday: Show Up. Gear Up. Get Rewarded.

Celebrate your Green Wave pride at Tulane Tuesday, a weekly tradition that brings our community together in true Tulane style! Every Tuesday from 11:00am to 1:00pm, head to the LBC wearing your Tulane gear and enjoy a special giveaway as our way of saying thanks for showing your spirit. It’s all about celebrating what makes Tulane extraordinary—you!

Qualifying items include t-shirts, sweatshirts, jackets, pants, backpacks, pins, buttons, hats, shorts, socks, belts, and ties. Please note: Splash Cards and phone wallets do not qualify. Supplies are limited, and exceptions cannot be made—so come early and show up in style!

Want to Host a Tulane Tuesday?

We’d love to have you! Tulane departments and student organizations are invited to host a Tulane Tuesday and connect with hundreds of students face-to-face. It’s a powerful way to promote your services, events, or mission—and best of all, we cover the cost!

Interested in hosting? Contact Jamie Newman, LBC Assistant Director for Student Programming, at jnewman10@tulane.edu.  Act fast—spots fill up quickly and availability may be limited for the current academic year!

Check out the LBC's student lounge, The Rat, located on the Garden Level and staffed by the LBC Student Experience Team. The Rat student lounge serves as a welcoming, inclusive gathering space that fosters community and enhances the overall student experience in the Lavin- Bernick Center for University Life at Tulane University. The Rat provides students with a comfortable environment for socializing, relaxing and engaging in programming that enriches campus life.
 
Late Night Programs in the Rat: 
  • Wednesdays: Craft Nights, 8 - 10 p.m. (select weeks as posted)
  • Thursdays: Pub Trivia or Bingo, 8 – 10 p.m.
  • Fridays: Karaoke or Open Mic Night, 8 – 10 p.m.
  • Saturdays: Movie Nights, 8 – 10 p.m.
  • Additional programming schedule will be posted monthly

The Lavin-Bernick Center for University Life offers a variety of signature one time events throughout the year in or around the building.

LBC Takeover

The LBC hosts a late night building takeover of events from 8:00 pm - midnight on the Saturday before fall classes start.  This program will highlight all the late night programming that the LBC offers throughout the year in addition to other fun events!

Fall Fest

Join us for the LBC's fall festival with free food, games and activities.

King Cake Fest

The LBC hosts a King Cake festival prior to Mardi Gras with a variety of king cakes from local bakeries in addition to giveaways, activities and Mardi Gras inspired freebies.

Wave Goodbye

Join the LBC as we "Wave Goodbye" to our graduating class with our annual umbrella & mortar board decorating event. Join us for an afternoon of crafting to jazz up your mortar board and/or umbrella for graduation. Food, music, and photo opportunities will also be available as you wave goodbye to Tulane and the LBC.

The Student Activities Expo is the best opportunity to get involved with Recognized Student Organizations at Tulane! We begin each semester (fall and spring) with an activities expo to allow interested students to browse around and meet members of various Recognized Student Organizations. All active Recognized Student Organizations are invited to participate by sending members of their organization to meet with prospective members and promote their clubs.
