Recognized Student Organizations (RSOs) can apply for a Wavestarter campaign. Wavestarter is a fundraising tool that helps RSOs raise money for meaningful projects that create a social, cultural, or global impact. Check out some of the 2025 fundraising campaigns below:

The Office of Advancement manages Wavestarter, and projects are selected by a committee that includes representatives from Tower and Crescent, Alumni Relations, Student Affairs, and Advancement. Wavestarter campaigns run for 15 days, and RSOs can only apply for one Wavestarter per year. Please read the Wavestarter Crowdfunding Policy for specific guidelines on project eligibility.
Wavestarter campaign applications are accepted during seasonal Cohorts each school year. Please view the following dates for the Fall below
FALL
Fall Cohort #1
Application deadline - August 22, 2025
Campaigns may launch as early as September 8th or as late as September 17th, with campaigns ending as early as September 22nd or as late as October 1st.
Fall Cohort #2
Application deadline - October 10, 2025
Campaigns may launch as early as October 27th or as late as November 7th, with campaigns ending as early as November 10th or as late as November 21st.

Upon the conclusion of the campaign, all funds raised will be transferred to the designated account of the RSO. This process may take up to three months.
